Ripples of Healing

In my lifetime I have had conflicts of many kinds, but perhaps the most destructive have been the  conflicts I have had within myself.  Being in opposition to one’s own truth creates discomfort, depression, anxiety, and an overall sense of dis-ease, which unexamined, may lead to further disease, presenting itself through illness in the body, as well as in our interpersonal relationships.  This blog is for those who find themselves or their loved ones in a moment where there is a hunch that something is a little amiss within the interior life. We are witnessing the brokenness in our world right now, which is a reflection of the illnesses within our individual and collective souls. This unique time in history is providing an opportunity for people to examine not just structures and institutions in our world that are broken and corrupt, but the places inside of ourselves where we are not living congruently with our deepest truth and inner knowing. As we address the places where we are not in harmony with ourselves, we can participate in the overall healing this world needs in a profoundly more impactful way.

In my practice I am witnessing people waking up to the ways they have “gone to sleep” to their deepest voice within and becoming reacquainted with (or meeting for the first time) this knowing inside of themselves that is longing to be acknowledged.  As children, we inherited from family, religion, and culture a set of values, ideas and beliefs that form and shape how we will live our lives, either by in some way adhering to or by rebelling from these ideas and constructs.  We live out of (or against) that framework for some time.  As time passes, we may grow in our levels of consciousness, and our rational minds, along with life experiences, begin to demand that we do what Richard Rohr calls, “second half of life work”, where we deconstruct certain ways we have had our knowing and begin to live out of something and someplace truer within ourselves.  Breathing life into these parts of ourselves is utterly radical and transforming and I am privileged to witness it happening not only in the lives of my clients but with their loved ones. After all, when one of us gets healthier, the people nearest us benefit and get healthier as well.

My office is virtual right now, providing a greater opportunity for even more people to do this transforming work with me.  Some are at the beginning stages of the journey, examining and deconstructing ideas and beliefs which are limiting or impairing growth, while at the same time, strengthening and bolstering the values they want to keep.  There are others who have been doing this work for a very long time and have discovered new intentions for growth and expansion they are wanting to actualize.  During what many are calling an unprecedented time in history, countless people who don’t want to miss the opportunity to jump into the flow of change occurring with this massive cosmic shift are jumping into the work. People all over the globe are beginning with facing (and healing) their “inner roommates”.

The internal conflicts may be presenting themselves only for the first time, or they may have been knocking at the door for a while, and addressing them feels a bit overwhelming or scary. Whatever the case may be, people are coming home to themselves in profound and transforming ways.  You may be feeling the ripple being created by these awakening souls, and if you are still reading post, you might be feeling called to this inner healing journey as well. It is a brave and rewarding endeavor of which I would be honored to be a part.  There are people who come alongside us at different places on our paths, and if you feel prompted to see if we would be a good fit, please contact me.
